He was a physicist in Aetheris who had formerly not believed in the existence of the sun due to the sheer impossibility of the issue, but still could not deny the proof towards its existence. He would later begin experimenting in secret with Riften, during this he stated he came to a revelation the possibility of the sun disappearing was plosible. He went further down the hole attempting to find a rationalization of why the sun would disappear.

+Later on a figure by the name Kojoul Cam adopted the theory but put a religious twist on everything adding the parts of salvation. It was originally so he could start a small cult to extract profit from using Conkeel as a scientific basis for his cult. It spread rapidly finding new “prophets” with the death of the former prophet. The “prophet” often claims they are a reincarnation of the original “prophet” but in reality they all log journals of everything they do for future “prophets” to read. In the last 200 years they have been changing from an odd cult exploiting people to an almost military force of millions globally. They learned to use firearms, daggers, cybernetics, explosives, etc to fight.
-It was a common phenomenon back in Conkeel’s time that objects would be seen off in space floating. One day a photo was captured of three spherical objects far in the distance beyond even Judgement Rifle the furthest tower. Signals break down after around 1 magnis away from the Judgement Rifle. The three objects also happened to look similar to the three planets, but more blue as if there was more water covering the surface.
-Thus the theory was created that in some way the sun was still there blocking signals. It disappeared due to a phenomenon he called instant nova, where a star collapses into a supernova at an abrupt time with such rapid speed and force the energy enters another dimension of space. One day though the sun will eventually reform pulling the energy from this other dimension back into the third dimension allowing travel again and illuminating those distant planets.
